Welcome, and thank you for being part of our story.

Whether you’re travelling from near or far, your presence means the world to us. Take a look around for all the details about our wedding, and please reach out if you have any questions.

Our story

Our story began in the most unexpected way: in a small, private online community that brought together fewer than 100 people from all corners of the world.

Among those people, we discovered that three of us happened to live in the Bay Area. What were the odds? We decided to meet up for dinner, not knowing that a simple evening would turn into something so much more.

What started as a chance connection grew into a friendship, a love story, and eventually a lifetime together.

Looking back, it’s funny how life works. Out of all the people in the world, in a little corner of the internet, we somehow found each other.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Why Vietnam?

We have friends and family coming from all over the world, so we wanted a place where everyone could easily come together. Vietnam felt like the perfect choice, especially Da Nang, where our guests can easily travel, get their visas, and enjoy a beautiful destination while celebrating with us.

Travel & visasFlying in, e-visas and getting around

Getting here

Fly into Da Nang International Airport (DAD). Hoiana is about 50 minutes’ drive south, and several of the hotels there offer a free airport shuttle.

Visa

You’ll need a visa to visit Vietnam. Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your stay and have at least two blank pages. Apply for an e-visa on the official e-visa website, and make sure every detail matches your passport exactly.

Prefer an agency? Vietnam Discovery Travel can help: the Vietnam Team on +84 387 285 099 (WhatsApp, Zalo or call), or Phan Duy Phong (Weifeng) on +84 94 717 64 38 (WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram), phongpd@vietnamdiscovery.com.

Getting around

Download the Grab app. It works like Uber or Lyft: GrabCar, GrabTaxi, or GrabBike for a ride on a moped. Drivers often offer their WhatsApp so you can book them directly for the rest of your trip. They usually ask for cash, and it’s often cheaper than the app.

Money

Vietnam uses the Vietnamese đồng (VND). Hotels, restaurants and big shops take cards; carry cash for street food and small vendors. Skip the money exchange at the airport, where the rate is poor. ATMs are easy to find outside.

Phone and data

Don’t buy a SIM card at the airport; it’s expensive. Pre-register a Viettel tourist SIM at tourist.viettel.vn, or take a Grab to a Viettel store and ask for the SD135: about 185,000 VND ($7) for 5 GB a day, for 30 days.

Exploring

  • Ba Na Hills, home of the Golden Bridge
  • Marble Mountains: five limestone and marble hills with caves, tunnels and pagodas
  • Sơn Trà Peninsula: jungle, coastal roads and the towering Lady Buddha statue
  • Dragon Bridge: catch the show when it breathes fire and water
  • Monkey Mountain: panoramic views and hiking trails
  • Hội An Ancient Town: colorful lanterns and beautifully preserved old houses

Q&AWeather, money, photos, kids and plus-ones
What’s the RSVP deadline?
Kindly RSVP by December 21, 2026.
Can I bring a guest?
Please speak to us directly!
Are kids welcome?
Our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you can enjoy a wonderful evening celebrating with us.
What will the weather be like?
Get ready for sunshine! June in Da Nang is hot, bright and perfect for the beach, with warm evenings and the occasional quick shower. Pack something light and breezy, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a little umbrella just in case.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Both: the ceremony is on the beach and the reception is indoors. Dress comfortably for warm weather outside and air-conditioning inside.
Can we take photos during the wedding?
Absolutely! We’d love for you to snap photos and share them with us. We just ask that you don’t take photos during the ceremony.
Do I need a visa to travel to Vietnam?
Yes. See Travel & visas above for how to apply.
What currency is used? Should I bring cash?
Vietnam uses the Vietnamese đồng (VND). Many hotels, restaurants and major shops take cards, but bring cash for small purchases and street food. Avoid changing money at the airport, and let your bank know about your trip and any foreign transaction fees.
Whom should I call with questions?
Our lovely wedding planner, Amber Nguyễn: +84 905 919 062 on WhatsApp, or quynhanh.tpweddingplanner@gmail.com.
